You're the Expert: Low Self-Esteem Dating

Hi Nando,

My name is Enrique, I’m 22 years of age. I’m from New Jersey.

I saw all your Youtube videos and I really did liked them. Anyway, I have some concerns that I’d like to consult you with if that’s ok, as I am a guy in the “CLOSET.”

I have some issues regarding myself.

I like this guy at the college, he’s gay, and I find him to be very attracting. I tried to ask him to watch a movie but, he said he’s already been talking to someone. However, he still keeps on talking to me. Also, I’m an immigrant, perhaps you have already noticed that I’ve written such crappy English.

I feel really apprehensive, that if ever he accepted my invitation to go out, I might just ruin it by not giving him a good conversation. You see, I’m not a good conversationalist, often, when I’m with someone, even with a friend, I don’t speak much, only when crucial.
