This was very awesome to see go down! As seen on The Huffington Post:
Things got so heated between Bill O’Reilly, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg on “The View” on October 14, 2010, that the co-hosts walked off the set of the show.
The incident occurred during a fiery exchange about the proposed Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero. O’Reilly said President Obama’s qualified support of the center was evidence of the “gulf” between him and the American people. Goldberg and Behar objected strongly to O’Reilly’s claim.
“This is America!” Behar said.
“Listen to me because you’ll learn!” O’Reilly interrupted her, to gasps from the audience.
Watch the show down!
And I really like how Barbara Walters handled the situation and basically said that Goldberg & Behar were wrong to walk off. I love me some Barbara now! This whole situation circles back to a question I just tweeted: Would you date someone with a different political POV?
Would you? Leave a comment as to why or why not. And do you think they should have walked out?
