I understand that Mariah Carey is now emancipated, married, and loosing her mind. Lately, Mimi’s been showing off that psycho part of herself that all celebrities reveal when things are either going too good or too bad. I’m sure insecurities started to pop up after she wrapped up her acting stint on the movie Precious–see, after her Glitter flop, she’s been very touchy about her acting career. I should know, I photographed Mariah Carey a few years ago at a celebrity red carpet event and the buzz was all about her new movie project. Mimi stayed hushed and refused to talk about it, although she and Alicia Keys were chatting it up all evening.
As I saw footage of Mariah Carey acting crazy while giving her acceptance speech at the Palm Springs Film Festival, footage of the People’s Choice Awards surfaced and I was shocked! Not at her drunk state, nor the fact that husband Nick Cannon acted more like a houseboy than a husband, but who told her she looked cute in that undersized white cocoon dress? See, that same evening at the red carpet event with Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey’s bodyguards also doubled as her image consultants. If they caught you taking a photo of Mimi from behind or even a side-profile shot, they immediately stomped over to you and your camera, demanded you to delete it and told you what photos would and would not be allowed. Now, Mariah herself politely came up to me and asked if I’d take a photo of her and two of the elderly board members of the event–and that was my brush with Mimi.
So I don’t understand why she wore that dress with all that back fat and pit cleavage exposed like she was a 34-year-old anorexic Brittany Murphy (too soon?). Mimi, we love you for different reason and you did good girl as the ugly counselor in Precious, so sister, get yourself together; get that skinny fine black husband of yours and work that weight off; we know you look good emancipated, just not inebriated.
