The Orvibo Wi-Fi Smart Socket Outlet has changed our lives. German and I work in the city which means Leona goes to doggy daycare twice a week and stays home three days out of the week. (I work from home one day out of the week) When she's at PupCulture NYC, we know she's socializing with other pets and having fun.On the days she's home, she pretty much sleeps--we know that because we have cameras showing us her daily routine.Several months ago, German and I meet up after work to run a few errands and got home late to find Leona in the dark. That night, feeling guilty and horrid, I went online and researched a smart electric outlet. I knew we had to get one to ever prevent this happening again.
We don't have a smart home, but decided to do the next best thing; create one-one socket at a time. These app-controlled electrical sockets run anywhere from $40 to $50 so I was skeptical at the quality and functionality when I found the Orvibo Wi-Fi Smart Socket Outlet for only $19.99. I thought, this might not work but the reviews are good so I'll give it shot.
I ordered the Orvibo Wi-Fi Smart Socket Outlet with two-day delivery.
(I love being an Amazon Prime Member) I quickly downloaded the app when the socket arrived and followed the instructions to activate it. I actually ordered two. One for the air conditioner and the other for a lamp in the living room.
Leona doesn't have to be in the dark ever again, especially now with daylight savings time and it gets darker faster. And in the summer, we'd click on the air conditioner when we were 20 minutes away (on the train) to have a cool place when we came home.
We left open windows and fans on for Leona. On days we knew it would get super hot, she'd get extra days at daycare that week.
Now, I click the lamp on for her before I leave work (from the app) and she knows daddy will be home soon. I posted the Orvibo Wi-Fi Smart Socket Outlet on Facebook and how it's changed our life and someone suggested she'd use it for Christmas lights--and with that, I'm on Amazon ordering a few more.
