In the fall of 2007, Scenarios USA asked youths to write honest stories in response to the question, 'What's the REAL DEAL about Masculinity?' Hundreds responded but only three stories were chosen to be produced into short films."
A few weeks ago, I was invited to attend "The Scenarios USA REAL DEAL Film Premiere 2008" by the beautiful and lovely Ernestine Heldring, in order to blog about the event.
And tonight, I get see these talented stories brought to life on the BIG SCREEN! "Scenarios" is a not-for-profit organization and all the proceeds from tonight will benefit the programs and activities of Scenarios USA.
Lately, Nate and I have been passionate about "movie-making" and we've presented our flicks to you all and the responses have been horrible. You people are ungrateful monsters! Okay, I'm kidding, the response has been great and we're truly inspired to further develop our skills in making movies, and tonight I'll get to talk to the kids about their short film and their thought process behind it.
The three shorts being screened tonight are:
BITTER MEMORIES

of Pharr, TX
Directed by Joshua Marston (Maria Full of Grace)
MANCHILD
