Nando & His Question

As I scurried above ground (leaving the V train behind me)and walked to work, I noticed a short executive-type walking in a blue suit, carrying a briefcase, along with a potted plant and an oil painting of a blue two-headed monkey holding an orange banana. In complete shock and confusion, I thought to myself, "What had happened?" (The last sentence must be read with a Puerto Rican Spanish accent)

Was it a disastrous fire? Did he get caught "spanking the monkey" with the French maid? Or worse--Did he move out of his apartment due to fleas and ticks?

This morning, I read a story (through my viigo) in the New York Post about a police officer and firefighter who were hospitalized because during their call of duty, responding to a crime call; were quickly attacked and bitten by a swarm of fleas and ticks.

And then it hit me, "If I had to move out from my home immediately, what would I take with me? Would I take my monkey painting? What about my prized possession--my photo-copied fake autographed Lynda Carter Wonder Woman picture? Or my glorious Golden Girl's DVD set? "

These are the things that define us as human beings, that create the foundation of our existence, that hold up the structure our nature. What will make it on my top three list? My camera, my laptop, maybe a pair of underwear? (Who am I kidding? Winter is almost here and I won't be wearing underwear...)

As I looked at the man in the blue suit with disgust (What? His shoes didn't match his suit) and a few feelings of despair, I couldn't help but wonder two things, "What product does he use on his hair?" (It wasn't moving in the cool August breeze) And what will my friend's top three list consist of? So I pose this question to you all: "What's on your list?"
