Nando & His Journey To The Stars

I just returned from a special preview of "Journey to the Stars" which is a spectacular space show at the Hayden Planetarium at The Rose Center for Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History. The IMAX presentation was narrated by Whoopi Goldberg and it opens to the general public on Saturday, July 4th.

Since I had an extra ticket, I brought along a loyal Nandoism Blog reader, Dustin who was just as excited as I was to be there. Once we got in we were greeted by Ellen and Antonia who work in the P.R. Dept. for the museum and treated us like Rock Stars!

Before they turned out the lights and wowed us with the IMAX film, we heard from Ellen V. Futter, President of the Museum and also Lika Guthathakurta, Lead Program Scientist for NASA who was rocking a red dress with fabulous red pumps! Who knew science could be so sexy?

Below is the trailer to the film

If you're looking for the next summer event for you and the family or maybe just interested in how the stars came to be and how our sun, which is scheduled to erupt (eventually) functions--this film will answer all your questions but also give you an experience that will last a lifetime. The musical score helps transport you on this amazing theatre experience as you journey to the stars...it's like you're actually there--up close and personal taking a peek. And what better trip to take, than one with Whoopi Goldberg by your side?

And while you're looking up at the screen that's displaying a beautiful dark sky filled with millions of stars, don't forget to do what we humans have been doing for centuries...and wish upon them.
